Ok...about 101 responses - a couple came in at the last moment. In any case, here are the results...
1) What is the theme song to your life?
"Don't Worry Be Happy" [3]
"I Will Survive" [3]
"It's a Small World" [2]
"Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head" [2]
"Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay" [2]
"The Mary Tyler Moore Show" theme song [2]
This one had 85 or so differerent responses, with answers from just about all over the range of musical expression, from "Achy Breaky Heart" to "Born to Be Wild" to "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" to "Mary Had a Little Lamb" to "Amazing Grace". The answer I'd have to agree with most, however, was "Untitled".
2) What would be the best movie, besides Titanic, to remake as a porn film?
Gone with the Wind [6]
Star Wars [6]
The Wizard of Oz [5]
Armageddon [3]
I'm still trying to figure out what the person who answered Debbie Does Dallas was thinking.
3) What is your favorite TLA (Three Letter Acronym)?
TLC [9]
LOL [5]
NRA [4]
TBA [3]
BRB [3]
My favorite TLA is TLA. Nice and self-referential.
Oh, and ASAP is an FLA (*four* letter acronym). Doesn't count.
4) What novel should more children have to read?
Catcher in the Rye [5]
Animal Farm [4]
Tom Sawyer [4]
Little Women [3]
The Diary of Anne Frank [3]
Ah...answers that would make an English teacher feel proud - even if The Diary of Anne Frank doesn't really count as a novel. Proud, that is, until they came across Go Dog Go or Kama Sutra or even the person who answered "Sorry can't say".
That said, the majority of answers were quite intelligent, proving that while a bunch of you may be smart-asses, at least you're literate smart-asses.
5) What method of transportation would you like to use more often?
Airplane [29]
Bicycle [12]
Car [11]
Train [7]
Helicopter [6]
Boat [4]
Walking [3]
Additional answers included blimp, pogo stick and transporter, as well as others that were more boring and conventional.
6) What is the least important historical event of the 20th Century?
The Bill and Monica affair [22]
Bill Clinton's impeachment [10]
Bill Clinton as president [9]
Individual birthdays [4]
I broke the top 3 down as closely as I could among the answers - where someone just answered "Bill Clinton" I presumed they meant his entire presdidency. I'm not overly surprised at these results; except that I think the whole impeachment process was important historically. And I don't think particular birthdays are especially historic (not historical - that's a mistake on my part). Compare and contrast to such historic events as: the introduction of New Coke, Dennis Rodman getting married, the opening of Al Capone's vault or George Bush's dislike of broccoli, and you can see that what happened to Clinton is hardly the least important.
Oh, and to the person who asked "Why would I be aware of it?", I say: Hush. You're thinking too much.
7) What time did you go to sleep yesterday?
1 AM [16]
Midnight [12]
11 PM [11]
10 PM [9]
2 AM [8]
11:30 PM [7]
9 PM [5]
3 PM [3]
12:30 PM [3]
Mostly a bunch of night people. I have a funny feeling that explains some of the answers I get to some of these questions.
LAST) Rock, Paper or Scissors?
Rock [46]
Paper [30]
Scissors [22]
Good ol' rock. Nothing beats rock.
