A Poem In Praise of Crosston

Crosstonshire marches off to war
They march knowing not whyfor
Trailing supporters, young and old
Cooks and minstrels and clothiers bold

Crosston fighters some in hearts
Demonstrate their fighting arts
While brewers brew and artists draw
"Enjoy, be silly" is thier law.

Crosston dancers fighting well
Party loud and party swell
Crosston dances and Crosston sings
While St. Fion wears onion rings

Crosstonshire returns today
"We had more fun, we won the day"
All rejoice and celebrate
Crosston the foe that none can hate.

Note: I wrote this in honor of the Shire of Crosston, in the SCA, at a bardic banquet they were having. They seemed to like it...
