Terry Pratchett's Discworld series

Those of you in the UK, Europe and Australia are probably familiar with these books. Those of you in the US probably aren't, and that's a shame. The Discworld series takes place on a large disc, floating through space on the back of four elephants, who stand on the back of a giant turtle. Needless to say, this can only happen in a place where the nature of reality is stretched mightily thin, but never mind.

The books are fantasy yet real, fictional yet truthful, and funny, but without being filled with puns. If ever there was a series where "Funny does not mean stupid", this is it.

Since I last updated these pages (long ago), they've published all of the main Discworld books in the US, so I'll list those, but some things are only available in the UK or Canada, and I'll note those as well.

My favorite Discworld books are probably The Fifth Elephant and Reaper Man but they're all worth reading.

More information on Terry Pratchett, the Discworld, his non-Discworld books and other merchandise can be found at The L-Space Web. Highly recommended.
