What's New in the World of Seuss
16 June 2003
Site News:
Been a while, hasn't it? I'm working on fixing broken merchandise links,
slowly but surely. I've made some changes in the
My Page About Me section.
Also added a couple of links to the Brief, Rough
Biography page that may help folks.
Seuss News:
Coming Thanksgiving 2003 - The
Cat in the Hat Movie. Live action, starring Mike Myers. If you liked
the live action "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", you'll likely love this.
For better or worse.
21 October 2002
Site News:
Added a link to
Who's Who and What's What in the Books of Dr. Seuss published by Dartmouth
College. Actually, I just found this site, and it is way cool. I wish I'd
known about it a while ago.
2 July 2002
Site News:
Has it really been that long since I've done any updates? Probably.
In any case, the central link points to my resume - if you have any leads,
feel free to contact me. Thanks.
9 January 2001
Site News:
It was time to change the central banner - this time to a worthier cause
than The Grinch movie. Check out the NEA's Read Across America campaign,
and see what you can do, for your school, or your community.
14 December 2000
Site News:
Added more items in the Buy Stuff area - mostly related to The Grinch
movie. Check under the Miscellaneous items and the About Dr. Seuss areas
mostly. Also in the Audio section, because the Grinch soundtrack is a pretty
good one.
1 December 2000
Site News:
More parodies! How The Schnook Stole How The
Grinch Stole Christmas is one of the best things I've seen yet.
And would the author please email me back, so I can include his email, for
those who want to get in touch with him?
Two other How the Grinch Stole Christmas parodies:
A Rail Roader's Ode to the Grinch and
How Al Sore Stole the Election.
23 November 2000
Site News:
Added two new parodies, both election related. There's
Gore-I-Am and How the
Grinch Stole the Election. Happy Thanksgiving.
19 November 2000
Site News:
I've made a few corrections to some items in the
Buy Stuff Here section, and a few other minor
changes to some other links as well.
Seuss News:
I saw "The Grinch". Don't believe the reviews; the movie is fun, and while
there are a few places where it feels out of character, it's more often
telling a very good Seussian story.
17 November 2000
Site News:
Wow. Long time, no updates. This will change in the near future. I also
added my very frist banner ad, but it's for
The Grinch Movie so that's ok.
Seuss News:
See above. The Grinch is out today.
I'll be seeing it later tonight. Reviews have been mixed, but oh well.
Note that there is a great deal of merchandise associated with the movie,
so collectors, go out and enjoy.
4 February 2000
Seuss News:
March 2nd is the National Education Organization's Read Across America day.
Designed to encourage kids to read more, this site has a number of suggestions
for activities, and ways you can help in your community.
28 January 2000
Site Changes:
Oodles of them. You can now buy shirts, ties and boxer shorts from the
site. I added a number of new books and videos. I made color changes on the pages.
And, of course, the domain name change - these pages are now officially
at seuss.org.
Old News from 1999 and earlier
Site Changes:
Added Norse of Course to the parodies page.
The Dr. Seuss Books and More page is now using
frames to make navigation a lot easier and a bit faster.
The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T is available on video.
Also another source for more info added to the Brief, Rough Biography page.
Added What comes after the stories end and
Deconstructing Dr. Seuss.
Lyrics to Welcome Christmas.
This is the song the Who's sing, that the Grinch cannot stand.
Dr. Seuss and Y2K.
The words to "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" from How the Grinch Stole Christmas
posted. Enjoy.
